The Gift of Time

I always look forward to the month of November, as I get to receive my early Christmas bonuses with the organization I am working for, during this time of the year. And every year, I think of what I refer to as a “personal project” from a portion of a year’s hard-earned money, to serve as a worthy “remembrance”.

This 2009, I want to have something special. I am thinking about a piece of jewelry, but I decided it’s time to have a new timepiece to jazz up my look before 2010. My favorite dress watch got lost years ago, and I miss its classy style on my wrist. Luckily, while browsing through a couple of websites to look for the classic style that I want, I found the Timex Core Easy Reader that perfectly matches the look that I want – simple, classy and classic. But the best part is that, I don’t need to spend a good chunk of my Christmas bonus on this and it even comes with free shipping! With the high quality I will be getting, it’s surprisingly reasonably-priced. Besides, when it comes to watches, who could go wrong with a Timex?

We spend a lot of money on consumables, but we rarely spend for either small or big investments that go a long way. So if you want to reward yourself with something special, why not give yourself the gift of style and investment all in one package? Don’t you think it’s about time?

My First Painting on Canvas

Beautiful Lady in Red

Hello everyone! Sorry I got busy with school lately, that is why I am not able to share new stories with you. But I promise to make up really good as soon as I finish my periodical exams next week, so please wish me luck. I have loads of adventures to tell!

Today I am sharing with you my very first painting on canvas! I painted this beautiful lady in a red gown with violet eyes and yellow hair last January. Painting can be a little messy but I love doing it. I cannot wait till Mom and I paint again!

"Hannah Montana: The Movie" Trailer

I couldn't wait to see Hannah Montana: The Movie from Walt Disney Pictures! I'm one of her number one fans (so obvious!) and I wouldn't miss it for the world! Mom already promised that we would watch this the moment it's shown in our local theaters. :)

Here is a sneak peek of the much awaited movie showing on April 10, 2009. Enjoy!

Want some LoVe?

Remember how excited I was about the arcade game Love and Berry but don't have a trading card album? Well my super Mom was able to find an album for my collection last year which was really great, because it's not that expensive! We put my personalized Love and Berry photo at the front, see? And what makes it even more exciting is that my godmother Auntie Gayle, gave me "Love". Yes, that small pink doll is Love who came all the way from Japan! (I wonder when Berry is coming over to follow, Auntie Gayle?)

My album and Love

Mom took lots of pictures of me as always, while playing my favorite game and took shots of my cards too. She put them all in one photo. I have gowns, shoes, hairstyles and other beautiful dresses!

Me and my collection

After my final exams we're going back here! I still have to study hard to get high grades in school, but I'm already excited to collect more cards when vacation comes. Before I go, let me show you Love, Berry and Chestene's pose! So cool!!!

Do you Love and Berry too? :)

Why I Love Online Shopping

There are times when I don’t feel like going out at all and would just like to while my time away in the comfort of my home in front of the computer. There are a lot of things I can do online without the hassle of going to a crowded mall, spending extra for fastfood in case I get hungry, or being tempted to watch a newly-released movie in the theater and buying soda with popcorn to complete the experience.

Staying home lets me save money. Trust me on that.

One of the joys of staying at home while doing one of the things I love is shopping. I can skim through a lot of online shops without getting achy legs and doing unnecessary stops and purchases. Shopping from home actually gives me ample time to check and compare prices while store hopping. No pressure here of salespeople urging me to try and buy. So basically, I’m on my own on the net and I solely make the decisions. I love that part.

I have recently searched for modern, retro and urban clothing in one of the fastest growing uk clothes shop, Divine Trash, where one can find best fashion brands like Fly53 clothing, Vila Clothes, Traffic People, Chunk, Wrangler, Jack & Jones, French Connection and Fenchurch, among others. There are brands that are currently on sale, so if you’re thinking of getting that special man or woman in your life a trendy surprise, then you might want to pick something from their sale rack before promotion ends.

Now, don’t you just love deals through online shopping?

Happy Valentine's Day!

Valentine's cards for my classmates

Teacher asked us to bring Valentine's day cards to our friends yesterday. All of my classmates are my friends so I made 33 plus 2 more for my teachers, or a total of 35 cards !

I slept late the night before and my hand got really tired writing, but I wanted to make everyone happy. I also brought goodies to school for sharing. We had the best Valentine's day celebration ever! :)

Happy Hearts Day everyone!!! *mwahhh*

I Love Reading!

Mom bought me a lot of books even before I could read them. I first learned how to read when I was in Nursery and it's been an adventure eversince. Whenever we go out, we always visit the bookstore to check out what's new. The photo below is my dream library at Fully Booked Powerplant Mall. I can stay there for hours without getting bored!
My dream library

Sometimes, when we can't go to the bookstore, we buy magazines at the magazine stand. My favorites are Winx, Disney Princess, W.I.T.C.H, Monster Allergy, Total Girl, Disney & Me and DC comics. And if I get lucky, Mom lets me read my magazines at Starbucks while having some Java Chip Frapuccino. Cool!

Magazines, anyone?

Disney Magazine + Starbucks = Fun!

One time, Mom asked me to pick one book that I like as my reward for getting high grades in my exam. I picked Nancy Drew's Mystery of the Brass-Bound Trunk. I chose it because I want to know about hidden gems and treasures! Mom was surprised because she used to borrow the same hardbound Nancy Drew books in the library when she was still in High School. I finished reading it that same day because I was so excited to know about the ending.

My first Nancy Drew book

This is what I always do when I am in bed and ready to sleep. I like reading my fairy tale books before sleeping. My day is not complete without it!

Girl in Pink Heels

Girl in Pink Heels

I made this drawing last year, but was not able to post it right away. I have been busy with my studies and mostly, I spend my extra time sleeping. I have to wake up at 5:00 am everyday to get ready for school and that makes me sleepy in the afternoon.

Anyways, I promise to make more artwork this year. I'm so excited because Mom bought new art materials for me! I used them last weekend and made something really special! I will share it with you next time, but for now it's still a surprise. :)

Well, what do you think of the Girl in Pink Heels?

Make a Wise Health Investment Now

It’s the first month of a brand new year, and as tradition dictates, this is also the best time to make our resolutions for the whole 2009. So what needs to be done this year? I think it’s best to lay out my priorities first to know which ones need to be focused on.

Income generation still takes a top spot, no doubt. Apart from a regular day job, I also do freelancing on the side. This formula brings in good money, but the workload took a toll on my health and resulted to a number of sick leaves last year, not to mention that a good chunk of my savings went solely to repeated consultations and medications. This year, I need to focus more on building up my immune system back in tip-top shape, and getting myself Affordable Health Insurance coverage for protection, just in case.

I used to think that there is no such thing. I was wrong. A website that features a wealth of Affordable Health Insurance resources was all I needed to set aside previous misconceptions that I have of its existence. Browsing through the site, I also learned some tips on how to obtain it, plus a smart guide to the best companies with Affordable Health Insurance plans in the market.

I’m confident that this is one of the best investments I can make today that will bring long term benefits in the future. Health is indeed wealth. It would be hard to pursue our dreams and accomplish our goals without it, so it’s wise to secure our health the earliest time possible - NOW.

My Blings and Things

How are you today? I hope you're all doing good as I am! Luckily, I did not catch the cough and cold virus yet despite the chilly *brrrr* weather. I think the multivitamins I'm taking is doing a good job!

Anyways, I just thought I'd share this one. Mom gathered my treasures yesterday and made a post about it. Here are some photos of my stuff!

My bings and things!

If you want to see and read more about my treasures, please visit her blog and read the full post here.

Take care, everyone! Mwahhh!
