The Gift of Time

I always look forward to the month of November, as I get to receive my early Christmas bonuses with the organization I am working for, during this time of the year. And every year, I think of what I refer to as a “personal project” from a portion of a year’s hard-earned money, to serve as a worthy “remembrance”.

This 2009, I want to have something special. I am thinking about a piece of jewelry, but I decided it’s time to have a new timepiece to jazz up my look before 2010. My favorite dress watch got lost years ago, and I miss its classy style on my wrist. Hello everyone! Sorry I got busy with school lately, that is why I am not able to share new stories with you. But I promise to make up really good as soon as I finish my periodical exams next week, so please wish me luck. I have loads of adventures to tell!

Today I am sharing with you my very first painting on canvas! I painted this beautiful lady in a red gown with violet eyes and yellow hair last January. Painting can be a little messy but I love doing it. I cannot wait till Mom and I paint again!

Want some LoVe?

Remember how excited I was about the arcade game Love and Berry but don't have a trading card album? Well my super Mom was able to find an album for my collection last year which was really great, because it's not that expensive! We put my personalized Love and Berry photo at the front, see? And what makes it even more exciting is that my godmother Auntie Gayle, gave me "Love". Yes, that small pink doll is Love who came all the way from Japan! (I wonder when Berry is coming over to follow, Auntie Gayle?)

Why I Love Online Shopping

There are times when I don’t feel like going out at all and would just like to while my time away in the comfort of my home in front of the computer. There are a lot of things I can do online without the hassle of going to a crowded mall, spending extra for fastfood in case I get hungry, or being tempted to watch a newly-released movie in the theater and buying soda with popcorn to complete the experience.

Staying home lets me save money. Trust me on that.

One of the joys of staying at home while doing one of the things I love is shopping. I can skim through a lot of online shops without getting achy legs and doing unnecessary stops and purchases. Shopping from home actually gives me ample time to check and compare prices while store hopping. No pressure here of salespeople urging me to try and buy. So basically, I’m on my own on the net and I solely make the decisions. I love that part.

I have recently searched for modern, retro and urban clothing in one of the fastest growing uk clothes shop, Divine Trash, where one can find best fashion brands like Fly53 clothing, Vila Clothes, Traffic People, Chunk, Wrangler, Jack & Jones, French Connection and Fenchurch, among others. There are brands that are currently on sale, so if you’re thinking of getting that special man or woman in your life a trendy surprise, then you might want to pick something from their sale rack before promotion ends.

Now, don’t you just love deals through online shopping?

Happy Valentine's Day!

Teacher asked us to bring Valentine's day cards to our friends yesterday. All of my classmates are my friends so I made 33 plus 2 more for my teachers, or a total of 35 cards !

I slept late the night before and my hand got really tired writing, but I wanted to make everyone happy. I also brought goodies to school for sharing. We had the best Valentine's day celebration ever! :)

I Love Reading!

Mom bought me a lot of books even before I could read them. I first learned how to read when I was in Nursery and it's been an adventure eversince. Whenever we go out, we always visit the bookstore to check out what's new. The photo below is my dream library at Fully Booked Powerplant Mall. I can stay there for hours without getting bored!

Sometimes, when we can't go to the bookstore, we buy magazines at the magazine stand. My favorites are Winx, Disney Princess, W.I.T.C.H, Monster Allergy, Total Girl, Disney & Me and DC comics. And if I get lucky, Mom lets me read my magazines at Starbucks while having some Java Chip Frapuccino. Cool!

One time, Mom asked me to pick one book that I like as my reward for getting high grades in my exam. I picked Nancy Drew's Mystery of the Brass-Bound Trunk. I chose it because I want to know about hidden gems and treasures! Mom was surprised because she used to borrow the same hardbound Nancy Drew books in the library when she was still in High School. I finished reading it that same day because I was so excited to know about the ending.

I made this drawing last year, but was not able to post it right away. I have been busy with my studies and mostly, I spend my extra time sleeping. I have to wake up at 5:00 am everyday to get ready for school and that makes me sleepy in the afternoon.

Anyways, I promise to make more artwork this year. I'm so excited because Mom bought new art materials for me! I used them last weekend and made something really special! I will share it with you next time, but for now it's still a surprise. :)

I used to think that there is no such thing. I was wrong.
